Dr.Harit K Chaturvedi has joined Max Healthcare to lead the development of itsworld-class Oncology program. He started his Oncology career at KidwaiMemorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore and moved on to the Cancer Institute,Chennai. Thereafter he worked as a senior consultant at Batra Hospital Et ApolloHospital. Prior to joining Max Healthcare, Dr Chaturvedi was at Rajiv GandhiCancer Institute, New Delhi.Dr Chaturvedi has performed surgeries at LIVE surgical workshops. He has organised many prestigious conferences Et workshops. Dr Chaturvedi was awarded the 'Young Scientist Award' in 1993 by the Indian Society of Oncology. He has been championing the war against Tobacco for the last 10 years, through an NGO - Core Cancer Foundation.

Major Career Achievements:

  • Organized the ‘VIII Biennial National conference of the Indian Society of Oncology’ in March 1999 under the aegis of Batra Hospital & MRC. This was among the first few major national conferences, organized by a private hospital. He organized a satellite symposium on colorectal cancer in Delhi for the ‘XV Asia Pacific Cancer Conference’. In March 2009, He organized the thoracic oncology surgical workshop for the Ninth International Conference of Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute (RGCON-2009). 
  • He has twelve scientific publications of which two are on surgical techniques. He was given the ‘Young Scientist Award’ in 1993 at the VI national conference of the Indian Society of Oncology at Calcutta. Currently one article is submitted for publication.
  • He has performed surgeries at six live operative workshops in conferences and presented over fifty scientific papers in several national and two international conferences.
  • Delivered over 100 lectures in different meetings for primary and secondary level physicians and surgeons, and, for surgical post graduates in surgical updates in medical colleges to improve their understanding of cancer.
  • He served as Executive member and editor of the premier oncology society in our country, ‘Indian Society of Oncology’ from 1996 to 2000. Presently, He Has the Honorary Treasurer of the society.
